Now, during her last year of A-levels, Emily - who is naturally auburn - has been told she is banned from lessons until she changes her appearance.

They claim they were told that Emily's hair colour needed to be changed by this Monday or she would not be allowed to continue her education.

The school said:“We have a high achieving Sixth form; last year’s results were in the top 12% nationally. We achieve this because of our policy of maintaining high standards in all that we do. 

“We expect our Sixth form students to be excellent role models for the rest of our students and the vast majority of our school community supports us in that.”

Uma rapariga para ser aceite em escolas religiosas tem que cumprir certos padrões de qualidade essenciais para o sucesso académico, como por exemplo, não ter o cabelo ruivo, que é uma ofensa... mas onde é que Deus tinha a cabeça quando criou pessoas com cabelos vermelhos??!! Sobretudo mulheres, que devem ser modestas, recatadas, virgens, devotas, submissas... não se percebe...

É evidente que uma rapariga não pode ter o cabelo de uma cor que dê nas vistas pois isso desafia os objectivos do colégio e da sociedade: ser uma idiota standardizada, educada para se conformar ao 'papel' que a religião e a sociedade têm para ela.
